VOW is an oral history project of the 411 Seniors Centre, a multicultural and proactive resource agency in downtown Vancouver, BC where members, volunteers and staff address seniors’ issues and concerns; the social, recreational, nutritional, information and counseling needs of members, clients and other seniors.

The Multicultural Eldery & Youth Education Project
This 7 month intergenerational anti-racism project was funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General Anti-Racism and Multiculturalism Branch. The project offered two distinct workshop series’. The first series provided senior led anti-racism workshops for youth and the second workshop trained seniors to interview their peers and record there own stories. Through recording oral histories of multicultural seniors we aim to immortalize the rich histories of multicultural seniors for their families and their communities. Four of these stories have been selected and posted on the right hand side of this page.
