Memberships
The 411 Seniors Centre has four types of memberships as detailed below. Memberships may be purchased and renewed from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, through the membership desk in the main lobby. If you have lost your membership card, you may purchase a replacement card for a cost of $2.00.
Regular Membership: For adults 55+ years of age, the cost is $10.00 per year and membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The benefits of membership are:
- Discount prices for nutritious meals in the cafeteria
New friendships
- Access to a secure, friendly, social environment
- Educational classes (e.g. Ballroom Dancing, English as a Second Language, Yoga, Bridge)
- Discount prices for bus trips
- Discount prices for social events
- Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting (for Regular Members only)
- Health Programs
- Multilingual Information & Referral Counselling (includes an Income Tax Clinic)
- Drop-in Activities (e.g. Snooker, Table Tennis, TV Lounge, Puzzles)
- Walking Club
- Contribution to 411’s services and decision-making
- Educational workshops (i.e. Home Safety, Personal Banking)
- Volunteer opportunities
Affiliate Members for adults 45 to 54 years of age: The cost is $10.00 per year and membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Member privileges are the same as regular membership, excluding:
- Voting rights at the general membership and committee meetings
- Participation in Vancouver School Board classes
Affiliate Membership for adults under the age of 44: The cost is $10.00 per year and membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Membership privileges are the same as for regular membership, excluding:
- Voting rights at the general membership and committee meetings
- Participation in Vancouver School Board classes
- Participation in 411’s drop-in activities
Associate Membership: Associate Members of the 411 Seniors Centre Society are other non-profit organizations housed in our building, and that have services available to seniors.
