Volunteer Opportunities
The 411 Seniors Centre operates largely through the generous commitment of over 200 volunteers. Volunteers contribute in virtually every corner of the organization, from dishwashing to event planning, from membership sales to individual counseling. All of the volunteer positions contribute to the centre’s mission of addressing the social, recreational, nutritional, information and counseling needs of members and clients
We are always interested in meeting caring and committed individuals to work with us in many different capacities. The 411 Seniors Centre recognizes the importance of a suitable placement and wants each volunteer to have a positive experience. For this reason, we meet with every volunteer individually to determine what position would be most appropriate.Once placed in a volunteer position, volunteers receive on-the-job training and a general orientation to the 411 Seniors Centre.Ongoing support and training are provided.
